ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a full time, hourly Custodian Supervisor for ASM/Knoxville Convention Center (KCC) and World's Fair Exhibition Center (WFEH). Responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, controlling, staffing and supervising all Operations Crew related activities for the efficient operation of the KCC and WFEH. This position is hands on and will be working directly with the team on the floor. The Custodian Supervisor is a vital component of the KCC and WFEH.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•Work hands-on and side by side the team cleaning, setting up and maintaining the event requirements and building.
•Responsible for directing and managing all full time/ part time House Crew Staff and Temporary Workers.
•Working supervision of staff and oversee conversions.
•Responsible for the cleanliness of the facility.
•Ensure adherence to safety codes and laws.
•Coordinate all event set -- up requirements between Event Services, Food & Beverage, and Operations Crew to ensure that communication of all requirements is organized.
•Work off of Event Work Orders distributed by Event Services to set up the physical requirements for each event.
•Prepare daily work task sheets for all House Crew members.
•Schedule lunches/breaks for the entire staff, including your own lunches/breaks.
•Identifies housekeeping needs within the facility, assigns them and ensures that they are carried out satisfactory.
•Trains staff in specifics of the responsibilities and expectations and works with staff to develop and maintain service and safety oriented work behavior.
•Responsible for maintaining a full supply of janitorial supplies.
•Oversee all operations including shampoo of carpets, mopping, and waxing of floors, sweeping, trash removal, etc.
•All other duties/responsibilities as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
•High School diploma or GED equivalent.
•Prior supervisors experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities
•Must have the ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours.
•Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons and others encountered in the course of employment.
•Good communication and interpersonal skills necessary.
•Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision
•Desire to work hard to produce consistent, quality results.
•Must have ability to take/follow directions and remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
•Strong attention to detail and follow through with a "can do" attitude.
•Must be able to pass criminal background and possess a valid driver's license.
•Must be able to maintain PCI compliance.
Desired Skills and Abilities
•Experience operating a forklift, scissor lift or other similar heavy machinery
•Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other basic computer skills
