Service Supervisor

Job Purpose & Responsibilities:

The Service Supervisor will manage the US repair depot and configuration services for Elo. He or she will be responsible for leading a department of approximately 10 people including electronics technicians, operators, quality, and warehouse personnel. The supervisor will ensure compliance with all process and procedures required for proper troubleshooting and repair of returned devices and must be able to set priorities for the team, provide guidance, and resolve issues during repair while working cross functionally with other departments. The ideal candidate has a passion for employee development and enjoys the process of training and developing both new hires and veteran staff. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Overseeing the management of service operations to service products with safety, health and environmental compliance, productivity, inventory, people development targets, and customer requirements
Key metrics including productivity improvement, efficiency targets, product turnaround time, year over year cost improvements, safety incident rate, people development, and minimizing/eliminating repeat returns of serviced product
Establishing procedures for maintaining high standards of the service operations to ensure that products conform to established customer and company quality standards
Minimizing WIP and reducing non-moving inventory
Identifying, recommending, and implementing changes to improve productivity and reduce cost, rework, and other costs of failures
Directing the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of production standards.
Driving Operational Excellence - understanding the drivers and developing / executing plans around improvement of line performance and quality metrics
Supporting various programs essential to manufacturing procedures (e.g., training, safety, housekeeping, cost reduction, worker involvement, security, etc.)
Exhibiting a professional manner while working with others and effectively maintaining constructive working relationships
Leading the hiring, training, developing and evaluation of staff
Communicating clearly and concisely with both internal and external customers


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution


Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in Manufacturing Management, Engineering, and/or Business Management is highly preferred
5 + years of increasing responsibility in manufacturing leadership roles
Experience and training in Lean Manufacturing
Background with ISO and Six Sigma


Specific Professional Skills/Competencies:

Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP), SFDC, MS Office, and PowerBI
Well-developed communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong Leadership skills in a fast-paced work environment heavily integrated with other functional departments both locally and globally
Ability to work in a team environment with frequent customer contact
Openness to change and innovation


Physical Demands:

Ability to lift up to OSHA single person lift requirements
Ability to sit, stand, bend or walk for prolonged periods of time
Ability to travel domestically and internationally unrestricted
