Associate Bookkeeper

Job Description:

We are looking for an individual who can work well independently and is interested in growing as the company grows. Northshore Bookkeeping is a privately held Knoxville based business. We are a customer service-based business, so professionalism and confidentiality are a must.

Major responsibilities & Duties
-Enter transactions which includes income and expenses then properly categorize according to clients Chart of Accounts.
-Reconcile bank and credit cards accounts
-Review P&L and Balance sheet for errors or inconsistencies.
-Create client month-end reports.
-Reports to Head Bookkeeper (owner)
-Work remotely as an independent Contractor. Must be Knoxville TN based

Skills and experience:
-2yr+ accounting experience
-1yr+ QuickBooks
-Attention to detail
-Problem solving skills
-Able to multitask
-Confidentiality and morally upstanding
-Strong analytical skills
-Ability to schedule workload in fulfillment of client deadlines
-Works well as a team member

Performance Standards:
-Must be able to work independently with little supervision
-Great support network where direction is available
-Ability to understand customers needs is critical to success

Candidates must agree to a thorough background check and sign contract(s): ICA (Independent Contractor Agreement) and Non-Disclosure Agreement
