What began as the Flying Tomato and five day a week lunch spot serving on paper plates with plastic forks has evolved into a tradition of freshly preparing breads, dressings and desserts each morning as well as serving as a supporter of Knoxville’s culture, neighborhoods and people.
With food as the focus, The Tomato Head has also served as a venue to musical acts, poetry readings, and performance art. It continues to host monthly exhibits that celebrate local artist efforts.
